Tai Chi

HKCEC: Spotlight Stage
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art, sometimes called “shadow boxing”. It is a gentle, low-impact form of exercise in which practitioners perform a series of deliberate, flowing motions while focusing on deep, slow breaths. Tai Chi aims to concentrate and balance the body's “qi” (inner vital energy), providing benefits to mental and physical health. Some of the benefits of Tai Chi include improvements in cognition, better balance and mobility, reducing depressive symptoms, anxiety and mood disorders.
